When connecting to an existing and migrated database you should not be changing the doc store location path. If you do want to change the doc storage folder path, you have to go into the document manager adminstration tool and modify it there. When you select the "Only Connection" radio button, the "Repository Location" field and the browse button get disabled.

How to uninstall and re-install the PPM/Mariner Connector for Microsoft Project
Occasionally, the PPM/Mariner Connector for Microsoft Project will need to be re-installed. For example, it should be re-installed every time you upgrade the PPM/Mariner web server to a new major version. The Connector is sometimes also fixed in patch releases and will need to re-installed.

When logging in with MS Project Connector get a message "You are using a version of Microsoft Project Connector that is incompatible with the PPM Installation you are logging on."
When logging into Mariner 2008 R3.09 with MS Project Connector get a message "You are using a version of Microsoft Project Connector that is incompatible with the PPM Installation you are logging on. Would you like to upgrade ?" Even if you click Yes to upgrade you continue to get the same error and you aren't able to login using the connector.

To work with PPM, you will need to add a Connect step using the PPM Demand Management Web Service Connect method. You will need to pass in the PPM login credencials. This will return a conection token.

These are the steps you will need to take to migrate your Mariner database to version 6.2, if your Mariner database version is Mariner 6.0 or earlier. If you are running Mariner 6.0 or earlier you will need to contact Mariner Customer Support to receive the appropriate Mariner migration executable(s) to upgrade your database to Mariner 6.2.
