Webservices Examples not installed with 64 bit version of SBM
|
The documentation states the WS examples should be installed in <SBM Install Folder>\Application Engine\webservices\. With the 32 bit installer this is correct, however when installing the 64 bit version of SBM the examples (VS2005WebServicesSamples.zip) are missing.

On 64-bit servers, if the Application Pool Defaults value in IIS is changed to 32-bit (either by an administrator or by another installed application), then the next time you apply changes in SBM Configurator, the dedicated gsoap application pool will also change to 32-bit mode (Configurator sets gsoap to match the default when you click Apply

Installation Log Files Not Saved in Some 64-bit Installations
|
Installation log files are not saved if you do not check the "Show the Windows Installer Log" check box at the end of the installation process. This problem only occurs on 64-bit installations of SBM.

Deployment removing elements from previous deploy when using 32-bit Composer

When one client is using 32-bit Composer, and another is using 64-bit Composer, data loss can occur as the 32-bit Composer version is not checking for a newer version in the repository.

SBM installer runs on Windows7 64-bit and then causes errors
|
The SBM installer will allow itself to run on unsupported platforms, which then causes problems later - for example when running Configurator. If you see bizarre results and messages after installation , then please verify carefully that you have installed on a supported OS. The current supported platforms are listed on the Support website.

There is a workaround it which you can follow which is to run the tomcat script " install -service.bat" and afterwards set service to "automatic".
