Unable to find application from Component Privileges list in Repository
CMS-XML Application Repository - Save to all components incorrectly removes privileges when use "save to all components" on Application or Orchestration
To reproduce: (1) Select an "Application" and the "Save to All Components ". (2) The Publish and Deploy Privileges all disappear from all the Process Apps.
CMS-XML Troubleshooting communication among SBM Components using Wireshark
SBM consists of components which can be installed on one or more servers. For example, SBM components include the Application Engine (or IIS component ), the Orchestration Engine, Application Repository and Common Services the last three components all running under JBOSS and Java. At times, it is necessary to capture communications between these components for troubleshooting purposes.
CMS-XML Why does SSM installer need to be run on Application Engine, Application Repository and Common Services if on different servers?
SSM installer lays down different parts of SSM depending on what is installed on the server. It is therefore important that the SSM installer is run on each of the servers if they are not installed on the same one.
CMS-XML Application Repository privileges are not correctly applied when changes are made in Process App > Privileges user interface
Workaround until UI bug is resolved: Do not make user privileges changes in the Application Repository > Process App tab > Privileges sub tab for a specific Process App > User. Make all user privilege changes via Application Repositry Privileges tab (choose Privileges on the left listing of tabs) selecting the user and desired components .
CMS-XML Upgrading to 10.1.4.1 with Notification Server and App Repository on seperate servers
If you are upgrading a Distributed Environment you may see errors about being unable to start/stop W3SVC on the non-AE machines if they do not have IIS installed on them. Because the Application Engine database schema upgrade is now done in Configurator, rather than in System Administrator, you may have a problem if you do not upgrade the AE machine first, so that the database schema is already at the correct level when Configurator is started on the machines without the Application Engine component .
CMS-XML If you publish from Composer 10.1.2 to Application Repository on a version 10.1.1.x, it should be rejected.
Checks between Composer and Server components is not rejecting a publish from Composer 10.1.2 to server components 10.1.1.x. The Process App will fail to deploy because of the new time capture functionality. Errors similar to below will occur on deploy and the head/tip is not usable as it will not deploy:

However, if a process app has been exported from the Application Engine using Application Repository’s Get Process App From Application Engine command, the process app appears with a red icon in the list, indicating that the process app is a blueprint that will be decomposed into its constituent design elements when opened. If the process app already exists in the local cache, you are given the opportunity to either overwrite the design elements in the local cache or open the local copy of the process app.
PDF Best Practices for Concurrent Development with SBM 10.x
If someone has checked out a design element and is no longer available to either undo the check out or check in the changes, a designer with the Break Lock privilege in Application Repository can resolve the problem. When this designer opens a process app from the repository , or performs a get latest operation, the constituent design parts are copied to the local cache.
CMS-XML Composer: Templates do not always have green icon
4) Go to Composer button > Open. Part 1: When looking at the local cache, it shows a green icon for the template, but the repository DOES NOT have a green icon. 5) Open the template from the repository
