Some customers, especially those in foreign countries that use a different character set than the US, may find that their characters are displaying in the output as a period (.) instead of as they were defined . For example, a customer in Israel assigned the Hebrew alphabet to EBCDIC code X'41' through X'79', inclusive, and Comparex did not correctly display these values.

STEPLIB in ISPF Option 8 - Batch
The steplib is generated from the value specified in the member CPXDSN, which is defined in 'somnode.COMPAREX.SYSGEN' and then built into the CPXINOPT member of your TABLES dataset when you run the SYSGEN clist. You can either change the value in CPXDSN and then re-execute the SYSGEN clist OR you can go into the CPXINOPT member and issue a change command from within it. Either of those will change the steplib value so your users pull in the correct dsn.
