In response to the security flaw found in OpenSSL, known as the Heartbleed Bug (CVE-2014-0160), Serena has analyzed our software to determine if any are vulnerable to this bug. The nature of the bug is such that secure connections to a server are vulnerable to potential bleeding of somewhat random server memory into a response to a client. IBM Unicode Services Red Alert (APAR OA48941) and Serena Software Mainframe Products

APF Authorization of the COMPAREX.CPXLOAD
License checking is performed from any APF-authorized application, such as the SERNET started task . Once the license is established by whatever method the customer prefers, then Comparex only runs in non-APF environments. As an alternative to licensing the entire CPXLOAD, the LICUPDAT module can be copied to another APF authorized library.

MASKing the end of a record
In the above instance , this causes CPX to create an unnecessary and incorrect FIELD keyword. The way around this is to MASK the end of a record using the END parameter, as follows:
