When files are checked out from Collage, they are placed in the work directory as defined under Preferences | Workstation | Local work folder. The work directory and other preference options are stored locally on the workstation. If several people share one workstation (or for Citrix machines), it may be necessary to have a detailed understanding about how preferences are stored.

This behaviour occurs when the character set for the asset has not been defined , or when the character set itself does not have smart quotes defined . As a result the quote character fonts are rendered as ? (unknown).

When a parent CCS folder has defined the default filename for a child CCS folder, and a new child CCS folder is created, Collage will prompt for the filename of the child folder. However, because the parent CCS folder has already defined the filename of the child folder, the name entered by the user is ignored.
