CMS-XML MCLG: Using Collage with a Microsoft SQL Server 2000 named instance
When using a named instance, the host name is typically specified in the format of "computer_name\instance_name". However, when using a JDBC driver, the host name is simply the computer name of the SQL Server machine, for example "computer_name".
CMS-XML MCLG 4.0: ''System username is not allowed to log on to the database server'' error when setting up MSSQL server to connect with Collage.

CMS-XML Problem with Content | Search | by date on non-English MS/SQL
If you use the "between" and specify valid dates, the query gets mangled when running to an SQL server that is not English. For example, if you wanted to search for assets modified between 1/11/2006 and 1/12/2006 (Nov1 to Dec1). This then shows this SQL in the log :
CMS-XML MCLG: MSSQL: Error ''Error changing password for the database owner. Error accessing project - possible wrong password supplied'' when attempting to change password for a project.
If the password for the database owner was changed via the SQL Server Enterprise Manager tool, then Collage will no longer be able to connect to the database. Collage will need to be synchronized so it can connect to the database. This is done by clicking the "Change Password" button on the Edit Project screen.
CMS-XML MCLG: Migrating or Copying project and get The system cannot find the path specified

(ENH104624) To improve deployment performance with Oracle, the "Analyze" query in the GatherTableStatistics stored procedure should be replaced with the dbms_stats package.
CMS-XML MCLG: Backing up databases when using MSSQL as the database server appends to the backup file.
The following scenario occurs when Collage is setup to use MSSQL server as the database server for projects or the admin database. When backing up the project or admin database via the System | Setup screen in Collage this causes the resulting backup file on the MSSQL server to be appended to the last backup instead of overwriting an existing backup. For instance if the project database was 5 mb in size the first time a backup was initated, the resulting .bak
CMS-XML MCLG: Invalid system user is specified for the database server.
There is a configuration option with MSSQL server that either allows the server to respond to a static port (1433 by default) or a dynamic port. In order for Collage to work with MSSQL it has to be set to respond to a static port. The MSSQL documentation has details on how to set that up but if MSSQL is setup to use dynamic ports you will see the error listed in this kb doc.
CMS-XML MCLG: How to create the admin database on MSSQL after the install is finished.
Run this at the command line to create the admin database again if the initial installation fails for some reason. ./collage.sh database-create-admin ms_sql_server 2000 <system username> <system password> ie
