Do not rename the files in the same folder, they must be copied to a different folder. As an example, you could create a folder under C:\Program Files\Serena\Collage (/opt/collage on Unix) called BackupFor5.1.0.7 and copy the files there.

5.1 Character Restrictions If you attempt to copy a project that includes metadata fields with non-Western European characters (such as Asian characters) in their names, the copy may fail. To ensure that you can successfully copy projects with non-Western European metadata field names, first rename the metadata fields using Western European characters, copy the project, then restore the characters in the new, copied project.
