Customer have installed ZDD 7.1.2.02 on a XP machine and when editing a file in a package and waiting for 2hrs of non-activity before saving , when they come to save the file they receive the message “error opening file – access denied” you only receive when editing in SlickEdit or Notepad.

If USERA attempts to edit a component that was previously saved by USERB, the changes are not saved and "Checkin failed CMN8262I - Component to be staged is locked by USERB." is issued. Also, Admins are allowed to edit the component successfully. If the user logins to ISPF ZMF, saves the component there and then attempt the edit in ZMF for Eclipse, the edit is then successful.

When using the Client Pack Smart Editor integration, when the component is saved , the SSV Change Description screen is not displayed.

While installing ZMF4ECL, the default path for the ZDDOPTS SAMPLE members is ‘C:\Program Files\Serena\ZMF\711\ZEclipse\zddopts’ and cannot be overridden. The customer's C drive is ' write ' protected, so the install fails.

So the user gets the impression that his change was successful. When opening the member a second time you actually see the change. However, there is a RACF message in the STC and the member on the mainframe has not changed.
