CMS-XML How Global Admin Parameter 'SINGLE CPU' will effect any CMN searched.
Most searches take over 10 minutes to complete, while others sometime time out with an abend. The customer even tried the 'QUERY PKG' function and it too is slow . Customer wants to know what can be done to speed this up.
CMS-XML ERO: Area promote processing generating invalid dataset names
Whilst researching we looked at their ERO admin global definitions (ZMF-ISPF option a.r.g.1). In there we found that they had no value for the ‘High level zFS pathname’ defined. Adding it resolved the immediate problem.
CMS-XML Very slow response time when issuing the S2 command
Customer reports that they are seeing very slow response time when trying to display the package component list, using either 1.6.2, or the S2 command from option 5. The Site order entered in Global Admin and Local Admin is ignored during Package Create and Promotion . It seems that the order of Sites as entered in panels CMNGRST1 or CMNCLRST does not have any impact in the list of Sites displayed to users in panels such as CMNRPM01 and CMNCRT07.
CMS-XML Spelling mistake on log entry
Problem identified internally on the beta release. After updating the promotion rule ( global or application) and viewing the log entry we incorrectly see that 'promoton' rather than the ' promotion ' rule was updated.
