It is possible to edit a z/os dataset simultaneously in ISPF and in ZDD
When you open a dataset in ZDD for editing and then go into the mainframe and edit the same dataset. ZDD does not place any ENQ's against the dataset to stop the dataset simultaneously being edited.

Disabling non-ZMF functions from client pack interfaces
For various reasons, customers may wish to disable access to non-ZMF functions from client pack interfaces. This covers the DataSets, Jobs and Unix folders within Windows Explorer in ChangeMan ZDD ( ZDD ) and the z/OS Data Sets, z/OS Jobs and z/OS USS Files folders in the Serena perspective within the ChangeMan ZMF for Eclipse ( ZMF 4ECL) interface. Due to the differing nature of these interfaces, however, the removal of these folders in each interface is handled in different ways.

Checkin from ZMF Checkouts view always uses staging dataset – not personal library
The reporting customer was initially concerned about potential data loss in this situation if the user selects the ‘Delete Source’ option on checkin. However, research here shows that the member is not deleted from the personal library in this situation so this concern looks unfounded at this time. As it still exists in the library, the component can be checked in using the z/OS Projects perspective should this occur.

ZMF4ECL: Checkin from local file system fails
Depending on the eclipse workbench that is in use, workarounds may be possible. For example, if using IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz), users can successfully execute the checkin request by right-clicking on the file and using the ChangeMan – Checkin function available in the Remote Systems Explorer perspective.

Retain Detail fails to remember "Checkin Options" on the Checkin panel.
If we have a program checked out in a z/OS Project and do a " ChangeMan ZMF checkin" and set the "Retain detail" flag and build then these "Checkin Options" are not remembered next time we do a " ChangeMan ZMF checkin". This will leave the Server, Application, Package and Library type blank.

Potential userid regression if incorrect password entered once
If a user has ZMF package components checked out to a project/personal development library, they can use the ‘ ChangeMan ZMF Checkin...’ option from the z/OS Projects perspective. If the user has also not already logged onto the ZMF system from the Serena perspective they will be prompted for their connection details. If the user types in the incorrect password at this point the initial checkin request fails but the password is stored somewhere that cannot be reset in this perspective.
