CMS-XML ZDD: Site information updated in HLLX PUPD0007 displays but cannot be updated on Server
When package installation details are updated in PUPD0007 and displayed with dataLocked=YES, the changes are visible on the ZDD package Properties – Site tab. However, the ‘Apply’ button is greyed out which implies that no changes are available to make. Clicking the OK button also fails to apply the changes made by the HLLX.
CMS-XML ZMF4ECL: Site information updated in HLLX PUPD0007 displays but cannot be updated on Server
When package installation details are updated in PUPD0007 and displayed with dataLocked=YES, the changes are visible on the ZMF4ECL Properties and Package Properties Site Information screens. However, when the Finish button is pressed no changes are made to the package site installation data on the ZMF Server.
CMS-XML Permit User Access to ZMF or Sernet Server Task JES Output
In the 8.2+ releases of the ChangeMan ZMF-related products and user interfaces Micro Focus have implemented some changes to the way in which specific functions are executed. This has resulted in us planning to add the following section to our existing ChangeMan Client Pack (i.e. ChangeMan ZDD and ChangeMan ZMF4ECL) documentation in the near future:
CMS-XML Members starting with § cannot be changed and saved using ZDD.
Or "Cannot create the \\ server \filename file. Make sure that the path and file name are correct."
CMS-XML Upgrading from ZDD 3.2.1 to 5.6.0 creates additional and corrupt server entries
Investigation here so far suggests that it is clear that processing has changed in this area. Prior to upgrade only the machine's logical connection appeared under the 'Serena Network' folder (i.e. the XCH server). After upgrade all locations mapped to a network drive now appear.
CMS-XML ZMF4ECL: Changes not saved when made in smart editor browse session
If a user attempts to change the contents of a component whilst in a smart editor browse session they are warned that the component is read-only and offered the option to make the component writable. If the user selects 'Yes' and makes changes to the component these are reflected in the transient edit dataset allocated by the ZMF Server started task when the component is saved or the edit session closed. However, the changes are not copied to the staging dataset.
CMS-XML ZDD binary file transmission fails using 8.2 Patch 2+ Server
Research here shows changes to the content of the uploaded data. These changes appear to have been introduced alongside the 8.2 Patch 2 Server release. That is, sample data transmitted against 8.1.4.01 and 8.2 Patch 1 show no differences when compared using Comparex.
CMS-XML Edit is successful even if the install date is in the past.
"CMN1041A - Install date must be current or future." When you re-open the component, ZDD reflects the changes made previously and does not load the original component from the package without the changes made. This occurs when you have a ZDD STC and Client at 5.6 with both CMN ZMF 5.5.3 and 5.6.
CMS-XML Change Man ZDD compatibility issue with SPF/PRO
Initially these are set to "YES" and "NO". The effect of BACKUP ON SAVE is that SPF/Pro tries to create a file called FRED.BAK (from FRED.SRC) and a .BAK file cannot be stored in a PDS with the last node of .SRC. (This is not a problem if the dataset is a PDS/E).
CMS-XML S978-04 SERXMVS using ZDD 8.1.3 ‘Copy to data set’ function
The customer has the 7.1.3.03-compatible hotfix for DEF273339 (S0C2 in SERXMVS using ZDD ‘Copy to data set’ function) installed. When using the ZDD 8.1.1 client software this works OK. However, when they change this to use the ZDD 8.1.3 client the following abend is encountered and the function is effectively unavailable within the 7.1.3.03 Server :
