Initially these are set to "YES" and "NO". The effect of BACKUP ON SAVE is that SPF/Pro tries to create a file called FRED.BAK (from FRED.SRC) and a .BAK file cannot be stored in a PDS with the last node of .SRC. (This is not a problem if the dataset is a PDS/E).
