When adding a package via ECP, it allows you to add more than 72 characters on the description field . Also, when creating a package via a non-ECP client, it allows you to create a description with more than 72 characters. In the DS clients, it displays the description in its entirety.
This only occurs on Windows 2000. When the Notification agent dialogue displays, all fields are blank. The information previously saved during the install is not displayed.
With this flexibility comes the necessity to limit the searches with wildcards. If your application mnemonic is APPL, you should enter APPL* in the "Package" field on the Package search screen. This will return all packages that begin with APPL.
This is supposed to be the IP address of the ChangeMan ECP server. If there is a firewall in between the two servers, however, you may need to change the IP address in this field . It may be necessary to put the external firewall IP address instead of the ECP server address.
The IP address for the ZMF main server must be specified correctly. Verify that the actual IP address is correct and that no additional characters are entered in the IP field .
