This is usually caused by a component whose path is defined using an environmental variable. Change Man DS for this version and prior executes each command in a separate shell. Therefore, any environmental variables set in a command line do not carry over to the next command.
Using ChangeMan DS 5.4.1 Web Client. Application is defined and a Package created. If no specific package is selected, but the 'packages' item name from the left-frame within the explorer view is highlighted and clicking on some of the package menu icons, an exception or error message is received.
When using the 'Restrict by Network Login' option and a user sets up an ID in DS with all lower case letters, the LAN will allow successful login with the same ID even if mixed upper and lower case letters are used, but if the network ID doesn't match exactly the same case as what was defined in DS, then the DS login will fail. Specifying all variations of the ID is not an option.
Upgraded from ChangeMan DS 5.3.0 to 5.4.1. When we went in to define new areas, invalid data shows up when the ALL tab is selected. This does not show up in any of the other tabs.
Make sure that the database is properly set up as defined in the Installation Guide. The error message 'Failed to create transaction record in audit trail database' may have been received because the tablespace was not properly set up as defined in the database 'before you begin' requirements. The documentation states that the datafile should have storage automatically extend datafile when full 'enabled'.
The Copyauth option (-copyauth) does not copy the permissions (authorization list) as defined in our DS 5.6.0 Command Line Interface Page 249. It only copies the project.
