Within the ChangeMan DS 5.6.0 Installation Guide, page 24, the following is listed as supported Client platforms for the Java client on Windows: Desktop (Windows or Java)

This happens because java assumes the users home directory as the place to extract jar files. Since Change Man DS requries root for installing the default HOME for root is " / ".
CMS-XML Not Able To View Large Installation Package History On Java & Web Clients
If you install the 1.3.1_01 that is shipped with the product, then you cannot view large package installation histories unless you install 1.3.1_02 or greater (you get a header out of range error message). Using 1.3.1_02 or greater causes the following errors:
