After upgrading to 5.5.0 from a previous version on Windows with an Oracle database, unable to access the DS web client or ALM Java client. Previous version had no problems accessing thru the web client and able to login to ALM. With upgraded release, cannot login thru web client. Login page appears but entering valid username and password displays page cannot be found.
This problem is only being experienced on Microsoft SQL Server. Instead of passing a <NULL> value, it is leaving the password blank and a login will fail. You could just set this value to <NULL> in the database, but the problem is that when any administrative function is done a userID even if no changes are saved, the space instead of <NULL> gets updated again.
Reported By Kris and Becky (she also has the same problem ) with her machine. Checked my eRMServer.log and it has no records of this since it froze before anything could be done.
Make sure that you properly select your file by placing the cursor on top of the file that you want to work with and then clicking the file or by double clicking it. You should see a black background on the file you selected with small yellow lines on the upper and lower borders of the selection. This indicates that the file was properly selected.
The problem only occurs with a large number of files in the package (3500+ files). However, this also appears to occur with 750 files that have a large relative path setting as well.
