If only a server name is specified, clients try to connect to that server by scanning for an SLM instance in the port range 27000-27009, waiting up to 100ms for a response on each port. If no response is received within that time, the next port is probed. Should a delayed response from a previously probed port come in after the timeout has expired, that response will get ignored as the SLM client has moved on to try the next port(s).
BUILD: Necessary patch for Merant Build for Merant Professional Suite to operate with Named Licenses - IMPORTANT: This only applies ot the Merant Professional Suite.
Sometimes it may be necessary to replace or remove an invalid or deactivated license key in SLM. While the License Manager administration GUI provides the ability to add new keys, at this time it does not provide the ability to remove keys that have been entered previously. This document describes how to remove or replace those keys.
With a valid Serena Support login that is tied to a site ID with current Support Maintenance (both are required) go to http://support.serena.com/ licensing /Default.aspx Complete the 4 drop-down selections for Site, Product, Serial Number and version. Click the enabled "View Licenses" button below the fields that will take you to the "Manage Licenses" table
From my test you can modify where to point to different license server by modifying "<Build INSTALL PATH>\Merant\Build\tomcat\webapps\ROOT\openmake\ license \ license .ini" UPDATE:
