When you receive email notifications from Agile there are sometimes links that will go directly to the Agile server like the password reset email notification. This document describes how to change the url that gets created in those emails to have a fully qualified name for the server.
Have the user check their junk mail and spam folder. It is possible that the confirmation email may have been redirected there. If the solutions above don't resolve the issue, then you should contact your IT System Administrator to see if the emails are being blocked by another program or firewall.
