You may receive warnings with Java when accessing the applets for the Dimensions Web Client and Admin Console with Oracle JRE 1.7 Update 25 and higher.

When setting up the Test Director links, the system ask to enter the URL to Test Director, when I enter the URL and press "Connect" I get the error. HRESULT:0x80040154;Error: Class not registered This occurs when you are setting up the TD sync plug-in in a box which does not have the test director installation, so that the TD applet have not been loaded.

This is corrected by waiting for the Inet Applet to load before logging in to the Inet client.

Java 6 Update 22 has a fix in it, CVE-2010-3560, which states applets may fail with a network security exception under some circumstances if the name service which resolved the original web page URL host name does not return a matching name as the result of a reverse address lookup. In order to fix this issue, you will need to add the reverse DNS entries configuration for your Dimensions Web server.

KM-Dim9: user cannot get or check out, browse file system through Web Client

The problem may be caused by an incorrectly built applet JAR file. User should download the JAR file, open it and check the size of zigbert.rsa file within the JAR. If file size is 0 then the digital signature is missing from the JAR file, and the applet is unsigned.

Dim12: WebClient: Unable to download or get recursive of Projects and Baselines
|
When performing a Get Recursive for a baseline and/or project of about 3,000+ files with an overall size of about 95MB from the Web Client, it fails with the error : merant.adm.io.CommException: Network communications error : operation aborted ... This can be determined by setting and reviewing the applet logging and IIS logs accordingly.
