CMS-XML Internal Solution Dim14: Pulse: When attempting to access Pulse, a 404 error occurs and the logs show Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor
When attempting to access Pulse, an error of 404 webpage not found occurs. The Pulse logs shows the following error message:

After registering the new password, you must restart the Serena Dimensions Listener in order to cause the list of registered passwords to be reread.

A problem arose where tracing of the Dimensions listener was required so -trace and -tracedir were added to the listener.dat in order to generate the logs. However following an attempted restart of the listener no logs were produced in the target directory specified by -tracedir.

CMS-XML Dim: How to enable a listener trace
Modify or add the lines -trace and -tracedir. Make sure the lines are uncommented, and tracedir must have a full path (ending with a slash) to the location where the log will be stored. The directory must already exist, and it must be writable by the Listener.
