How to delete a project database ( PDB ) in PVCS Version Manager 6.5+ Currently there is no option to complete this task in the GUI and although it is a relatively simple operation it should be approached with a degree of caution.
When trying to rename a PDB ( Project Database ) in the VM Desktop Client GUI, the Rename option is disabled (greyed out / grayed out): How can this be solved?
You can't do this directly, but the following ought to do the trick when usign the Desktop Client GUI: Open both PDBs in the desktop client. Select the source project in source project database.
file could not be found. The location specified is not a valid PDB , the PDB cannot be accessed, or the PDB specified is corrupt. Make sure that the migration user has access to the Project Database files, and use the Version Manager PDBs dialog box in the Migration Designer to remove and then re-add the corresponding Version Manager PDB definition.
For instance, a single PDB contains two project structures that represent two separate applications. Developer A is assigned to Project 1 while Developer B is assigned to Project 2. Each developer has no need to operate in the other project. So, the Project Administrator wants to restrict Developer A's rights in Project 2 and vice versa.
