Invalid returned data from License Server -12 is received when trying to log into Dimensions. This error can occur when the incorrect Hostname and/or Host ID are referenced in the license file, serena.lic. To correct this, verify the Hostname and Host ID using the following command from the License Server directories:

Then set DM_LICENSE in dm.cfg and to @< license server hostname > instead of the license file. After this is set modify references to DM_LICENSE in dmstartup / dmshutdown scripts to make sure they are pointing to correct location.

So assume the server names of the 3 servers are server1, server2 and server3. When enterning the server names on the installation of TeamTrack in the Host Name field it woul look like the following:

Support usernames with an "@" symbol in their name, like "CHELL@APERTURE.COM". Support hostnames that can be interpreted as number (decimal or hexidecimal), like "97e3373e".

Typically such delays are caused by misconfiguration of SLM . Verify that DM_LICENSE in the Dimensions server's dm.cfg file is set to the correct SLM server hostname that is pingable from the Dimensions server node? Another thing to check is the value of the MERANT_LICENSE_FILE environment variable on the Dimensions server - in both system environment and in the environment variables for the pool owner user.
