Description
With Dimensions CM 14.5.2, the following errors can occur based upon the Operating System:
Windows:
License server machine is down or not responding. (-96,7:11001 "WinSock: Host not found (HOST_NOT_FOUND)"): DIMENSIONS (DMSYS)
License server machine is down or not responding. (-96,7:11001 "WinSock: Host not found (HOST_NOT_FOUND)"): DIMENSIONS_CHANGE (DMSYS)
ACL4502922E Error: Cannot open connection to host hostname
Failed to start Dimensions server process
Linux:
License server machine is down or not responding. (-96,7:2 "No such file or directory"): DIMENSIONS (DMSYS)
License server machine is down or not responding. (-96,7:2 "No such file or directory"): DIMENSIONS_CHANGE (DMSYS)
ACL4502922E Error: Cannot open connection to host hostname
Failed to start Dimensions server process
Resolution
The above error can occur if there is a 'space' at the end of the DM_LICENSE variable in the dm.cfg file.
To determine if this is the issue, enable SDP logging and review the variables at the top of the dmpool log file.
