Customers running ZMF 8.1.2 or 8.1.3 may see increased memory usage in GRS.  The issues and resolution are described fully in KB article S142347.

Please note: ZMF 8.1.2 customers must take the necessary steps to implement the fix for DEF297026.  The fix is included in ZMF 8.1.3.

A small number of ZMF 8.1.2 and 8.1.3 customers have continued to see excessive GRS memory usage after implementing this fix. This may or may not be accompanied by the following IBM error messages in the ZMF Server started task output or on the system log:

ZMF 8.1.2 customers who have implemented the fix for DEF297026 and ZMF 8.1.3 customers who continue to encounter excessive GRS memory usage should open a support incident requesting assistance.

The issue is fully resolved in ZMF 8.1.4 (Generally Available on 29 September 2017).
